“When The Wind Blows” Street Theatre in London

On March 1st the Mad Hatters affinity group performed some street theatre outside Highbury and Islington station based on Raymond Briggs “When the Wind Blows” and the withdrawing of US and Russia from the INF treaty.  They were supported by Muriel Lesters affinity group and a few other folk.

It consisted of Trump and Putin tearing up the INF treaty and the old couple from “When the Wind Blows” climbing into their makeshift shelter (under a pasting table, covered in a cloth), the siren going and the table being pushed over in front of them.

Standing facing the mostly local people coming out of the station with  2 large banners and leaflets it certainly attracted attention and lot’s of good conversations were had.
