Oyez, Oyez! TP Muriel Lesters and friends from LRCND, Japanese Against Nuclear/Kick Nuclear & At Ease, spread the good news about the current UN negotiations towards a Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty. We leafleted at the International Conscientious Objectors Day commemoration in nearby Tavistock Sq. before walking to SOAS. As exams were on, we stopped the bell ringing and megaphone but still attracted plenty of interest. We asked people to contact their General Election candidates for their views on a Treaty, the UK government’s vote against even having negotiations and refusal to participate. TP plans more Town Crier actions around `15th June when the UN conference reconvenes.
