On this final day of Coulport International Nuclear Disarmament Camp a small group of held a Quaker meeting at the main gate of the nuclear weapons depot and a lively bunch relcaimed the nuclear terror-tority for peace, planting a CND peace flag on the sea fence that marks the boundary between war and peace.
Some campers joined the Quaker meeting over at the North Gate of Faslane as well. That meeting takes place about five times a year.
We said goodbye to friends from Sweden and others and enjoyed a sunny day drying out, tatting down the camp and sharing more music, good food and good company. A handful of us remain now for the last night. We’ll be away tomorrow but we’ll be back before long to continue the nonviolent campaign for the disarmament of the UK’s nuclear weapons system.
