HIROSHIMA-NAGASKI 75 YEAR COMMEMORATION
This summer, we will be commemorating the 75th anniversary of the horrific atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. You are invited to join us in calling for an end to nuclear weapons, starting with Britain’s Trident Missiles system. This costs over £200 Billion, at a time when the COVID-19 Pandemic has shown up how our NHS desperately needs funding.
From the 6th to the 9th of August Trident Ploughshares, with the support of CND, is organizing days of action and protest in several locations across Britain: London, Bristol, Iona, Knighton, Edinburgh, Plymouth, Barnstaple, and others to follow.
In each location, we will be fasting to protest the grotesque wastefulness and devastation which nuclear weapons represent. At the same time, we will stage actions which will vary from place to place and whose exact form will depend on prevailing conditions and restrictions in force at the time.
The fast is part on the annual International Fast and we will be in touch with fellow fasters in several different countries. See the Appeal of the International Fasters
