The International Fast for Nuclear Disarmament continued today in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
In London there was a peaceful vigil outside Downing St all morning followed by a die-in and singing at 2pm attended by 25 people.
There will be an all night vigil from 7p.m. to 7 a.m. in Victoria Embankment Gardens.
Tomorrow (Sunday 9th August) at 11a.m. Nagasaki Lament in Whitehall Gardens. 2 – 2.30 p.m. Die-in outside Ministry of Defence in Whitehall Gardens.
In Edinburgh there was a presence all day outside The Scottish Parliament where Ellen Moxley was fasting.
Protest in Harmony joined then to sing during the afternoon.
and Edinburgh Festival goers were leafletted by other Trident Ploughshares folk and friends including faster Janet Fenton near to The Castle.
In Glasgow faster Brian Quail was joined by Glasgow Catholic Worker friends in Buchanan St.
