Following the ICO Day commemoration in Tavistock Sq.on 15th May about 15 people (Mad Hatters, JAN, Faith in Action, Bromley CND, Nagase -san-London Peace Pagoda & Muriel Lesters), visited Lockheed Martin UK’s Corporate HQ, 15 Regent St. St. James. They decorated convenient scaffolding at adjacent Costa and the bus shelter, sang and leafleted. Leaflets highlighted Lockheed Martin’s role from original A-bomb development to current arms dealing in”conventional” weapons and management of AWE at Aldermaston & Burghfield. They also gave out leaflets about the UN Global Ban Treaty which a distressingly large number of apparently savvy people said they’d never heard about. More people are noting websites rather than taking leaflets these days but it was good to talk.
Security gave a thumbs up as they said goodbye though the barred door and reassured them they’d be back.
