After a successful blockade of all gates at AWE Burghfield today the construction gate is still being blockaded at 8pm. As the police decided not to cut people out of the lock-ons everyone stayed all day. It was scorching hot and with little shade and we had to really look after each other to avoid anyone getting sunstroke. By late afternoon the police numbers had decreased to the point that the two blockades either side of the Construction gate were able to pick up their lock-ons and converge at the actual gate and block that instead of the road. Now dinner has arrived and people are preparing to spend the night there so we are still there as workers arrive tomorrow morning. We hope to stay for the rest of the week. Come and join us!
