Welcome & Information for 5 -10th June actions at AWE Burghfield

Some of you are getting ready to come and support the first full week of action from 4th
to 10th June.

You can come and meet us at the Friends Meeting House (FMH) in Reading
at 2 Church St, Reading RG1 2SB where we will be setting up from 2.30
p.m. on Saturday 4th June. Depending on your needs we will find you
floor space (brings mat and sleeping bag and washing kit) or a bed in a
local person’s house. Please do fill out the registration and legal support forms NOW so we can organise for your needs. Parking is
difficult in Reading and there is none at the FMH but there are car parks that you can pay
for or you can find spaces in little streets here and there.

There will be briefings, affinity group formations and preparations
taking place on the Sunday and if you are new to all this or do not have
an affinity group it would be good to attend all day Sunday – the workshops
will begin at 10a.m. Information can be found at our office at the FMH
when you arrive to check in with us.

Please bring banners and props for actions, and also red clothes (hats,
scarves, jackets) if you want to join in a red-lines action that will
highlight the huge military misuse of carbon resources and their massive
contribution to climate change.

Vegan food will be provided for a donation at FMH. General donations to
help cover costs are also welcome. We look forward to a convivial and
purposeful month of actions to show public opposition to renewing
weapons of mass destruction.
