Spring into (Nonviolent Direct) Action

This spring there will be Trident Ploughshares NonVLUU L110, M110 / Samsung L110, M110violent Direct Action Training in Glasgow and London.for anyone interested in exploring the possibility of taking part in NVDA and joining TP. These will be one day TP members trainings which incorporate NVDA Training and an “induction” into TP so it is useful for anyone considering either supporting or taking part in NVDA whether with TP or elsewhere.

Glasgow: Sunday 27 April 10am – 5pm in the STUC Building, 333 Woodlands Rd, Glasgow G3 6NG. Margaret Bremner and Sheila Mackay, members of the Gareloch Horticulturalists and both long time anti nuclear and Palestine activists, will be the trainers.

 London: The preferred date for the trainers is Saturday 31 May, 10am – 5pm at the Westminster Quaker Meeting House in central London. It is possible they could do Saturday 3 May. The training will be led by Chris Gwyntopher and Rowan Tilley. Chris is a veteran TP activist and Quaker. Rowan Tilly is a Turning the Tide trainer and environmental activist and was a core supporter of the Seeds of Hope Ploughshares action.  For anyone from out of town accomodation can be arranged.

The emphasis of the training will be on taking part in or supporting nvda in opposing nuclear weapons.  You do not have to be prepared to be “arrestable” to do the training. It is also for people who want to support such action.
