On Monday 27th June faith groups from across the UK will gather at Burghfield Atomic Weapons Establishment near Reading for a day of prayer, witness and non-violent direct action.
This inter-faith day is part of a month of daily direct action against Trident renewal called by Trident Ploughshares. Groups participating include London Catholic Worker, Pax Christi, Fellowship of Reconciliation, Wake Up, Quakers, Christian Peacemaker Teams, The Catholic Worker Farm, Anglican Pacifist Fellowship and Christian Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. We invite groups and individuals of all faiths to join us in praying for peace and declaring “No Faith in Trident!”

10am      Prayers with Christian Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament
11am      Quaker Meeting for Worship
12am      Lunch (bring and share)
1pm        Prayers with Pax Christi
2pm        Worship with Anglican Pacifist Fellowship
3pm        Litany of Resistance with Christian Peacemaker Teams
4pm        Workshops: Thich Nhat Hanh and Plum Village (Wake Up)
                                   Making peace cranes (London Catholic Worker)
Getting there:

There are buses (Lime 2/2A) from Reading to “The Mearings” (ca. 25 minutes)
