Thames Valley Police has charged four people in connection with ongoing protests at the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Burghfield.
Pipsa Toivonen, aged 18, Helena Rytkonen, aged 62, Esa Noresvuo, aged 25, all of Church Street, Reading, and Helen Swanston, aged 32, of Shipden Avenue, Cromer, Norfolk; were each charged with one count of willful obstruction of a highway.
The charges relate to an incident yesterday (Tuesday) near AWE Burghfield, in which the carriageway of The Mearings was obstructed.
All four people were released on bail to attend Reading Magistrates’ Court on 27 June.
