Sylvia from Keighley, Julia from Exeter, Margaret from Oxford, Erica from Wolverhampton and Anne from Clwd much supported by Alison’s lifts to and fro, decorated the fence at Burghfield Atomic WEapons Establishment in fron to the gravel gerties, where work is done on nuclear warheads on May 23.
Police allowed sticky tape but were not happy with PVA glue, and a considerable length of fence was enhanced with anti-Trident slogans and beautiful knitted flowers. (Unfortunately they were taken dodwn when the women went for a little walk. The decorations were returned to the women and they plan to use them again.)
