Salisbury CND have produced two Pdf collections of photos from their day of action at AWE Burghfield with other groups from the south-east of England, as part of the month of protest action organised at the Atomic Weapons Establishment in advance of a government vote, or announcement that it not only intends to renew its aging Trident nuclear weapons system – it also intends to ‘upgrade’ it in contradiction of UK (see Trident Ploughshares PICAT project) and International law.
Struck by the reality of the potential for disaster at the site they have produced this photo montage to make the reality clear.

The group describe their pic as a ‘reality check’. It certainly is that. Awful to know that people live in the vicinity of this nuclear weapons factory – possibly even choosing to do so – and actually bring up children in close proximity to the place.
